Canoe Cove Wines Canoe Cove is truly a collaborative effort. The concept of producing a parallel line to Domaine de Chaberton was jointly conceived by Anthony and myself. The character and taste of each of the Canoe Cove wines is a product of Anthony's vast wine experience having tasted most of the very best wines from around the world.
Under Anthony's direction, our wine maker Dr. Elias Phiniotis finished the wines. The names Canoe Cove, Canoe, and the concept for the labels were conceived by me. With the help of our Jennifer Hill and a team of graphic artists, my vision was translated into reality. We have chosen to make the first production of the Canoe Cove and Canoe wines "small lots". There will only be 500 cases of each of the Canoe Cove Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot and Chardonnay which have been released. In addition, a thousand cases of Canoe North Bluff Red and the Canoe North Bluff White have been released. We hope that you enjoy our new wines. Eugene Kwan, Proprietor/Managing Director

Canoe Cove Chardonnay Awarded The Double Gold Our Canoe Cove Chardonnay has been awarded the Double Gold at the 2006 All Canadian Wine Competition. A Bronze Medal was awarded to our 2005 Chaberton Rouge. This was quite an accomplishment given that the winners of the Gold and Silver medal in its class were more than twice the price of the Chaberton Rouge.
At the 2006 NorthWest Wine Summit, we entered 6 wines and won 6 medals:
Gold on our 2004 Bacchus, Silver on our 2003 Canoe Cove Shiraz and Domaine de Chaberton 2005 Madeleine Sylvaner, and Bronze on our 2003
Canoe Cove Cabernet Sauvignon, 2004 Canoe Cove Chardonnay and Chaberton 2002 Merlot Barrel Reserve.
Earlier this year, at the 2006 New World Wine Competition, held in California, the 2003 Canoe Cove Shiraz was awarded a Silver Medal and the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot was the recipient of a Bronze Medal.
