The Huber family has wine tradition back to the year 1167 when Henry the Lion awarded the family with vineyard properties for services in the war against the Slovaks. In 2002 the Huber’s bought Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery which was at the time already a part of Canada’s history by being Canada’s first Icewine producer in 1978, as well as Canada’s first Certified Organic Winery in 1995.
